New adventures...

So my new adventures in realty have been interesting. I almost feel like I have had a taste of everything. My first close went relatively smoothly but has taught me a lesson about lazy Realtors- you have to make up for their shortcomings.

Then my second closing, my clients made an offer on a home that was later vandalized. Needless to say, it "wasn't the same house" it was when they made the offer and they backed out. They closed on a totally different house.

On Monday I will be helping another first-time homebuyer into a home which the VA has financed. She is a dream for them- great credit and financially sensible. I just wish the financial dudes had been more smooth with the approval.

Foreclosures after foreclosures- especially in the low $100s. The very people who were talked into getting a loan (and may not have considered it until all the hype of 2005/2006) and now all these complicated deals.

As a result, those of us who are building homes in the $300s and $400s are getting the shaft since there are so few homebuyers in this price point. Soon enough, the election will be overwith and things will be back to normal in 2009... hopefully!
